I Have a Great Story

Well, Lets see here,
I've told you about my adventures with my former network marketing companies. We have discussed different kinds of freedom.

Now, I want to tell you a story. It's really a very short story and it won't take long to tell it to you.

Let me start my story by telling you that I have worked for the school district for about 12 years off and on. I really loved being around the kids. They were just awesome.

Education is a calling. Let's face it educators don't get paid what they are worth. If you’re in education you know what I'm talking about.

My friend Tammi is a teacher also.

Tammi was telling me, how hard it was for her to pay all of her bills each month. She said she always seemed to run out of money before the month ran out. She would even be forced to use her credit card to buy groceries at the end of the month. Yuck! You know the rest of that story!

I asked my friend, Tammi If you never had to teach another class again, would that be okay? She thought about it for a moment and said that she really like teaching, but if she could teach as a hobby and not count on the paycheck from the teaching. WOW! That would be great!

I felt the same way. So I got to checking around and decided that the only way to get out of the money shortage for me was to start some sort of a home-based-business. I mean let's face it teacher's have to teach way past retirement age, Right?

I figure that I only need about 60,000 a year to make above my teacher’s salary

Tammi, you know how people are always dieting, And you know many people are drinking energy drinks like Rock Star and Full Throttle for that extra bit of energy. And Vitamins, people are really getting into natural health.

Yes.

Well, I came across this company that has all these natural vitamins, and supplements that people like to buy. They have these diet cookies that really help you to manage your weight. Not only that, they also have this great energy drink that is 1/3 the price of Rock Star and Full Throttle, and gives you a better buzz.

I pull out this magazine called Freedom Magazine, nice looking publication. Anyway I turn to page 15 and said, hmmm, it says here that I can earn 60,000 a year and I would need about 300 people using the products and then I’d never have to work again.

Tammi, I didn’t know how to get 300 people to use these products, but I could learn. We learned how to teach kids all of the subjects they are required to know to graduate from school. So I’m pretty sure that we can learn a system to get 300 people using these great products.

So Tammi, What is easier, worrying about the bills at the end of the month and not being paid what your really worth or learning a system to get 300 people using these products and not having to worry about stretching your small income.

Freedom for Each

Hello Everyone,

I want to talk about Freedom today.
For thousands of years people have fought for freedom. They have died for freedom. Freedom means different things to many people.
I put this blog under the category of Goals, Plans, and Hopes. Today freedom has a special meaning for me.

At this very moment my 21 year old baby daughter is in Iraq. She is there because she believes in goals, plans and hope of freedom and the quality of life so strongly that she would put herself in harms way to defend this right of people she has never met in her life. She doesn’t even know that I hold her in high esteem for what she holds in her heart and the tenacity she has to carry it through.

As my daughter peruses the right of freedom I too am perusing another meaning of freedom. Today freedom for me is the privilege to work from home. This is a great “freedom “for me. It means freedom to enjoy my family, to enjoy cooking a wonderful dinner in the middle of the week. Freedom to decide if I want to wear make up today or not.

My thought of freedom may not be as dramatic as my daughter’s, but seen in a different lens of the looking glass it can be just as dramatic.

It’s about the goals, the plans and the hopes and freedom that I have found in working from home as a mentor and consultant with Mentoring for Free. I have learned so much. With what I have learned I am able to help others who are in multi level marketing companies or who are thinking about joining an mlm.

I’ve learned that people fall into one of 4 different personality types, and by knowing how to recognize these types I am able to talk with people in a way that is comfortable to them and easy for them to understand. I’ve learned that network marketing is a people business. It’s not all about the products or the numbers. No. It’s about growing a strong stable business that will last a life time with real people that have real lives.

Let me tell you, I want to thank my friend and mentor, Michael Dloughy for teaching me how to build a very successful team by using the information and the knowledge that Michael has gained over the past 30 years.

I believe that you too can have the freedom that I know you will love.
The freedom of NOT punching the time clock. The freedom of NOT asking your boss for time off to watch your son play baseball at Nationals three states away. Freedom to enjoy the people you love the most, YOUR FAMILY. I believe that you deserve that very freedom.
